   About AMAIZE P.G. For Puppies Too Why Developed     |
I am a Veterinarian and breeder of Pointing Labrador Retrievers. Two years ago I bred a rare Certified Pointing Red Gold female to a Pointing Red Gold male. Both parents were fed a premium dog food with no supplementation. Fifteen beautiful red gold puppies resulted from the breeding. By seven days of age we had lost nine of the puppies to a severe bacterial diarrhea. Around the clock administration of antibiotics, fluids, and supplemental feeding were unable to save any of the nine sick puppies. Post mortem examination of the dead puppies by the University of Nebraska, Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories revealed a resistant strain of E. coli, bacteria as the cause. An immune deficiency in the dam resulting in her inability to protect the puppies through her first milk was thought to be a contributing factor. This incident prompted me to develop the AMAIZE P.G.™ Nutritional Supplement. At the second breeding, the female was fed the same dog food as before.
