| Marsland Laboratories sponsored Dr. Sonny King, a practicing Veterinarian from Spartanburg, South Carolina, in the 2007 Iditarod Sled Dog Race. This was Sonny King's second attempt at the Iditarod. In 2001, with the help of AMAIZE AHD™, Sonny finished 25th, in 11 days, 8 hours. Sonny received the coveted most improved musher award for his 25th place finish out of 62 mushers. Sonny also brought more dogs to Nome than any other musher, except the next to last finisher who finished two and a half days after Sonny.
