AMAIZE AHD
An "Amaizing" Success Story

Photo of Dixie (15023 bytes)In September, 1995, my 1 year old Black Lab, Dixie, was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. I was given a few options of treatment. The first was sending her to Iowa for a $4,000 hip surgery involving complete replacement of the hip joints; the second option was a $500 surgery where the bone was fused into the hip socket. This would allow the dog to run and walk but would prohibit her from jumping. The final option was to have her put down.

I was considering all the recommended options when my veterinarian suggested I read an article in the Omaha World Herald about a veterinarian in Lincoln, NE, Dr. Bill Marsland, of Marsland Laboratories. Dr. Marsland had successfully treated a Black Lab with hip dysplasia with a vitamin-mineral supplement called "Amaize". She recommended I read the article and visit with Dr. Marsland. In the meantime to minimize the pain, my veterinarian recommended giving Dixie a pain reliever shot about once every 4 days for the first week.

I called Dr. Marsland and received very encouraging news - he was very helpful in explaining all the benefits of the product, as well as how each ingredient worked together to repair the damaged area. He recommended using the Amaize on a daily basis and keeping Dixie in a crate several hours daily to keep her activity level minimized.

Through September, Dixie started showing signs of improvement. She was sleeping comfortably, aided by taking a recommended dosage of Benadryl from the veterinarian. By the first week of October, Dixie was taking only the Amaize and able to rest comfortably throughout the night. I started walking her for 15 minutes daily, and she showed no signs of discomfort. By the end of October, I could walk Dixie one half hour daily without her tiring. In November I increased her exercise up to 45 minutes several times a week - letting her run, and noticed that she was able tojump a little as well. In December, Dixie appeared to have no problems with her hip condition - other than the sway in her hips.

One year later I took Dixie in for her follow-up exam and x-rays. Her veterinarian showed me the difference in Dixie's before and after x-rays - it was remarkable! My veterinarian was equally impressed with her improvement. We sent the x-rays to Dr. Marsland who confirmed that Dixie had responded favorably to the Amaize.

In addition to Dixie's remarkable recovery, she also has received the added benefit of a shiny, healthy coat - another result of using Amaize. It isn't uncommon for people to comment on the healthy condition of her coat. It goes without saying that this product is appropriately named - it is simply "Amaizing". I would recommend it to anyone with a dog experiencing hip and/or arthritic problems.
